Three circles with radii 3cm. 4cm and 5cm touch each other externally.If their centres are P,Q and R, what is the perimeter of the teiangle PQR ?
a. 12cm
b. 18cm
c. 24cm
d. 36cm

Its option C. 24cm

Let the point of contacts of the three circles be A, B and C respectively.

PA = PC = 3cm

RC = RB = 4 cm

QB = QA = 5cm

So,

PQ = 3+5 = 8 cm

PR = 3 + 4 = 7cm

QR = 4 + 5 = 9cm


Perimeter = 9+8+7 = 24cm
