Hi Mate !!

When three Coins are tossed then total outcomes are 8

( HHH )

( HHT )

( HTH )

( HTT )

( THH )

( THT )

( TTH )

( TTT )

Possible outcome :- 3

( HHT ) ( HTH ) ( THH )

E = Getting exact two heads

P ( E ) = Possible outcome/total outcomes

P ( E ) = 3/8

Three coins are tossed simultaneously.

Possible outcomes = [HHH, HHT, HTH, HTT, TTT, TTH, THT, THH]

No. of total outcomes = 8

Favourable outcomes = [HHT, HTH, THH]

No. of favourable outcomes = 3

Therefore,

P(two  \: heads) =  \frac{ No. \:  of  \: favourable \:  outcomes}{ No. \:  of \: total  \:  outcomes}

= \frac{3}{8}

Hence, the probability of getting exactly two heads is \frac{3}{8} .
