I) if all the forces act along the same direction then resultant force

N =n1+n2+n3

=150+450+300=900N

ii)

Given :

Three col linear horizontal forces of magnitude 150 N, 450 N and 300 N are acting on a rigid body . '

To Find :

The resultant of forces when all the forces are acting in the same direction .

Solution :

We know , force is a vector quantity .

Also , when vectors are added in same direction the net magnitude is the sum of all vector magnitude .

So , F_{max}=F_1+F_2+F_3

Putting value of F_1 , F_2 \ and\  F_3 in above equation .

We get :

F_{max}=F_1+F_2+F_3\\\\F_{max}=150+450+300\ N\\\\F_{max}=900\ N

Therefore , this is the required solution .
