Resistance of each resistor = 12 ohms

Now, they are connect to form an equilateral triangle.

Between any two vertices:

Two resistors will be in the series and the third one will be in parallel to the other two resistors which are in the series.

Hence, Equivalent resistance in series = 12 + 12 = 24 ohms

Now, the 24 ohms and the remaining 12 ohms resistor are in parallel. Hence, using the formula for parallel combination:

\frac{1}{R_e_q} =\frac{1}{24} +\frac{1}{12}

R_e_q = \frac{24}{3}

R_e_q = 8 ohms.

Answer:

8 oms

Explanation:

Two resistors will be in the series and the third one will be in parallel to the other two resistors which are in the series.

Hence, Equivalent resistance in series = 12 + 12 = 24 ohms

Now, the 24 ohms and the remaining 12 ohms resistor are in parallel. Hence, using the formula for parallel combination:

=24/3

= 8 ohms
