The required numbers are 7 8 and 9

aaravbhardwaj12: Let the consecutive no.s be x, (x+1) and (x+2).

Multiplying it by 2, 3 and 4 respectively, we get,

2(x) = 2x

3(x+1) =3x +3

4(x+2) = 4x + 8

Forming the equation, we get,

2x+ 3x+3 + 4x +8 = 74(As the consecutive no.s add up to 74)

9x + 11 = 74

9x = 74 -11

9x = 63

x = 63/9 = 7

x =7

Therefore the no.s are 7(x), 8(x+1) and 9(x+2).

Hope this helps!!!!!!

Let the numbers be x , x+1,x+2
Then the no. multiplied by 2,3 and 4 would be 2x ,3x+3 and 4x+8
Now,
2x +3x+3+4x+8=74
9x+ 11= 74
9x=63
x=7
So the no. are
x=7
x+1=8
and x+2=9
