Define x:

Let smallest number be x

1st number = x

// Add 1 to get the next number

2nd number = x + 1

// Add 1 to get the next number

3rd number = x + 2

.

The sum is 51:

x + ( x + 1) + ( x + 2) = 51

.

Solve x:

x + ( x + 1) + ( x + 2) = 51

x + x + 1 + x + 2 = 51

3x + 3 = 51

3x = 48

x = 16

.

Find the 3 numbers:

1st number = x = 16

2nd number = x + 1 = 16 + 1 = 17

3rd number = x + 2 = 16 + 2 = 18

.

Answer: The 3 consecutive integers is 16, 17 and 18

hey mate here is your answer :-) :-)

consecutive numbers :- Consecutive numbers are numbers that follow each other in order.

example 1, 2, 3, 4

so, if x is the number then x +1 then x + 2 is the consecutive number of x.

Solution :-

let the 1st number = x

let the second number = x + 1

let the third number = x + 2

they add upto = 51

A. T. Q (according to question ) :-

(x) + ( x + 1 ) + (x + 2 ) = 51

3x + 3 = 51

3x = 51 - 3

3x = 48

x = 16

so, x = 16

therefore,

the first consecutive number = 16

the second consecutive number = 17

the third consecutive number = 18
