Let the consecutive numbers be x, x+1, x+2

Their sum is 99.

Adding,

x + x + 1 + x + 2 = 99

3x + 3 = 99

3(x + 1) = 99

x + 1 = 99/3

x + 1 = 33

x = 33 - 1

x = 32

First number = x = 32

Second number = x+1 = 33

Third number = x+2 = 34

32 + 33 + 34 = 99

So the answer is correct.

Let the no. be x+1, x+2, x+3

A/Q

x + 1 + x + 2 + x + 3 = 99

3x + 6 = 99

3x = 99 - 6

3x = 93

x = 93/3

x = 31

1st number = x + 1 = 31 + 1 = 32

2nd number = x + 2 = 31 + 2 = 33

3rd number = x + 3 = 31 + 3 = 34
