Three consecutive natural numbers are
multiplied. Can we say that the product will
always be a multiple of 6?
For example, 1 x 2 x 3 = 6, and 2 x 3 x 4 = 24.
In both cases, the product is a multiple of 6.
You have to determine whether this is true in
all cases.
If your answer is yes, prove it! Else, come up
with a counter-example.

Answer:

yes the product two consecutive natural no. are always the devisible by 12 or is a multiple of 6

Step-by-step explanation:

PROVE..

The rule of devisibility by 6 is that the number should be devisible by 2 and 3

  • In three consecutive no. atleast one of them will be even and when we multiply a no. by a even no. the result will be even and it will be devisible by 2
  • In three consecutive no. atleast one of them will the multiple of 3 and we multiply the other two no. with three they will become a multiple of 3 or the no. will be devisible by 3

so when the no. will be devisible by both 2 and 3 then we can say that the no. is devisible by 6 also or it will always be the multiple of 6

Hope it help you mate..
