Solution :

  • As per given data we know that , three cubes each of edge 2 cm are joined end to end .  
  • Length of newly formed cuboid = 3\times 2 = 6 cm
  • Breadth of newly formed cuboid = 2 cm
  • Height of newly formed cuboid =  2 cm  
  • Now , total surface area of cuboid = 2 ( lb + bh + hl )

                                                                 = 2  ( 3 \times 2+ 2\times 2 + 2\times 3 ) \\\\= 2 ( 6  + 4  + 6 )\\\\=2  (16)\\\\= 32\ cm ^{2}
