volume of 2nd cube = 4 x 4 x 4 = 64

volume of 3rd cube = 5 x 5 x 5 = 125

volume of new cube = 27 + 64 + 125 = 216

a^3 = 216

a^3 = 6^3

a = 6

Solution :-

Given : Three cubes of sides 3 cm, 4 cm, 5 cm are melted and a new is formed.

Find the side of the new cube :-

Area of new cube = Sum of the area of three cubes

=> (side)³ = (3)³ + (4)³ + (5)³

=> (side)³ = 27 + 64 + 125

=> (side)³ = 216

=> (side)³ = 6³

=> side = 6

The side of the new cube = 6 cm
