And the sum of numbers as 5 in three throws. As :

{ 1 , 1 , 3 } , { 1 , 3 , 1 } , { 3 , 1 , 1 }, { 1 , 2 , 2 } , { 2 , 1 , 2 } , { 2 , 2 , 1 }

So,

Total number of desired events = n ( E ) = 6

Therefore,

Probability of getting the sum of numbers as 5 in three throws = 6/216
=1/36
