- Aerobic respiration occur in the presence of O₂. while Anaerobic respiration occur in the absence of O₂.
- In Aerobic respiration, complete oxidation of food ( glucose ) occur while in Anaerobic respiration incomplete oxidation of food occur.
- Aerobic respiration occur in cytoplasm and mitochondria of cell while Anaerobic respiration occur in cytoplasm of cell only.
- Products of Aerobic respiration are-6 CO₂, 6 H₂O and 38 ATPs while the products of Anaerobic respiration are-2 CO₂, C₅H₅OH and 2 ATPs.
- Aerobic respiration occur in most of the plants and animals while Anaerobic respiration occur in anaerobic bacteria and yeast ( fungus )
