crow is a bird, usually black, of the genus corvus , having a strong conical beak, with projecting bristles; it has a harsh, croaking call while cuckoo is any of various birds, of the family cuculidae (from latin ), famous for laying its eggs in the nests of other species; but especially the common cuckoo, cuculus canorus , that has a characteristic two-note call.
