Pollination is the transfer of the pollens from the anther to the stigma of the pistil.Anther is the male part of the flower whereas the pistil is the female part.Pollination is the process which can be done in many ways like by insects , winds , humans and other natural ways. They are of two types as follows...

Cross pollination .

Self pollination.

Fertilization refers to the formation of the zygote after the male and female parts which is pollens and ovules combines to form the seed. This results to the formation of the new organism or the seed which later develops to be a large plant according to the parent plant.

pollination and fertilization are different through the fact that pollination leads to fertilization. Pollination is just a process of transferring the pollen to stigma. This can be done through either self pollination or cross pollination.cross pollination is when there are outside agents like animals, people or wind to facilitate the transfer of pollen to stigma. while pollination also only applies to flowering plants,as they are the only ones producing pollen. Fertilization applies to almost everyone in nature and there can be no fertilization if there is no pollination.
