Solid state ;-

» Inter particle spaces :- very small, particles are closely packed.

» inter particle forces ;- very strong.

» Nature :- very hard and rigid.

» Compressibility :- Negligible.

» Shape and Volume :- definite shape and Volume.

» Density :- High

» Molecular Motion or kinetic energy :- Low

» Diffusion :- Negligible

-----------------------------------------------------

Liquid state :-

» Inter particle spaces :- comparatively large , particles are loosely packed.

» inter particle forces ;- weak

» Nature :- Fluid.

» Compressibility :- very small

» Shape and Volume :- Indefinite shape but defnite volume.

» Density :- less than the density in solid state.

» Molecular Motion or kinetic energy :- Comparatively High.

» Diffusion :- Slow.

-------------------------------------------------------

Gaseous state :-

» Inter particle spaces :- very large, particles are very loosely packed.

» inter particle forces ;- very weak.

» Nature :- Highly fluid.

» Compressibility :- Highly compressible.

» Shape and Volume :- Indefinite shape as well as volume.

» Density :- very low density.

» Molecular Motion or kinetic energy :- Very high.

» Diffusion :- Very fast.
