Answer:

Rs 18.5

Step-by-step explanation:

Three different persons buy some note books for rs 92.50 ,129.50 and 166.50. the maximum price of the notebook is?

To find this we need to find HCF ( highest common Factor)

As all amount ending with .5 so book price is also ending with .5

We will find HCF , by multiplying each number with 10 to make it integers and then divide the result by 10

92.5 * 10 = 925

129.5 * 10 = 1295

166.5 * 10 = 1665

925 = 5 * 5 * 37

1295 = 5 * 7 * 37

1665 = 3 * 3 * 5 * 37

5 * 37 is HCF = 5 * 37 = 185

dividing by 10  = 185/10 = 18.5

Maximum price of book = Rs 18.5
