Length of resulting cuboid=3a
Breadth=a
Height=a
TSA=2(3a×a +a×a + a×3a)
=14a sq.
Sum of surface area of 3 cubes=
3× 6a sq.=18a sq.

Required ratio=14a sq./18a sq.
=7:9
