Given that,

➢ Three equal solid cubes of edge 2 cm each are joined end to end.

➢ So, when cubes are joined together, they form a cuboid, whom dimensions are as

\red{\rm :\longmapsto\:Length_{(cuboid)}, \:  l  = 2 \times 3 = 6 \: cm}

\red{\rm :\longmapsto\:Breadth_{(cuboid)}, \:  b = 2 \: cm}

\red{\rm :\longmapsto\:Height_{(cuboid)},  \: h = 2 \: cm}

We know,

 \green{\boxed{ \bf \:TSA_{(cuboid)} = 2(lb + bh + hl)}}

where,

TSA = Total Surface Area of Cuboid

l = Length of Cuboid

b = Breadth of Cuboid

h = Height of Cuboid

So, on substituting the values, we get

\rm :\longmapsto\:TSA_{cuboid} = 2(6 \times 2 + 2 \times 2 + 2 \times 6)

\rm :\longmapsto\:TSA_{cuboid} = 2(12 + 4 + 12)

\rm :\longmapsto\:TSA_{cuboid} = 2 \times 28

\bf :\longmapsto\:TSA_{cuboid} = 56 \:  {cm}^{2}

Additional Information

Cube

A cube is a three-dimensional shape has six faces, eight

vertices and twelve edges but all edges equal.

Cuboid

A cuboid also having six faces, eight vertices and twelve edges, not all edges equal.

Formula's of Cube :-

Total Surface Area = 6(side)²

Curved Surface Area = 4(side)²

Volume of Cube = (side)³

Diagonal of a cube = √3(side)

Perimeter of cube = 12 x side

Formula's of Cuboid

Total Surface area = 2 (Length x Breadth + breadth x height + Length x height)

Curved Surface area = 2 height(length + breadth)

Volume of the cuboid = (length × breadth × height)

lDiagonal of the cuboid =√(l² + b² + h²)

Perimeter of cuboid = 4 (length + breadth + height)
