We need to calculate the acceleration

Using formula of acceleration

a=\dfrac{F}{M}

Where, F = net force

M = Total mass

a=\dfrac{(2+2-2)\times g}{2+2+2}

a=\dfrac{g}{3}\ m/s^2

From FBD,

mg-T=ma

Put the value of a

mg-T=\dfrac{mg}{3}

T=\dfrac{2mg}{3}

T=\dfrac{2\times2\times9.8}{3}

T=13\ N
