Universals. A pragmatist can consider something to be true without needing to confirm that it is universally true. For example, if humans commonly perceive the ocean as beautiful then the ocean is beautiful.

Pragmatism is defined as an approach to things that focuses on the practical or logical response. Addressing problems logically and practically is an example of pragmatism. (politics) The theory that political problems should be met with practical solutions rather than ideological ones.
