Gandhiji started his famous Salt March. It was the beginning of Civil Disobedience Movement in 1930.
The Salt March was started with his 78 trusted volunteers from his ashram-Sabarmati to Dandi.
On 6th April, he reached Dandi, ceremonially violated the law, manufacturing salt by boiling sea water.
