Answer:

(4/5)x−10=(2/3)x

On rearranging,](4/5)x−(2/3)x=10

Now taking the L.C.M of 3 and 5 is 15

(12x−10x)/15=10

On cross multiplication,

2x=150

x=150/2=75

So the required number is 75

Given:-

Three fifth of a number is 10 more than one third of same number. Find number

Solution:-

Let the number = "x"

According to this equation, we will get~

 (3/5)x-10 = (1/3)x

On rearranging this terms on one to the other side, we will get~

 (3/5)x - (1/3)x = 10

Now we will open the brackets, so it will be as~

 3/5x - 1/3x = 10

Now for subtracting this term "Denominator" of both term should be equal. For equal denominator L.C.M has to be taken.

L.C.M is 15, so the number would be~

 9/15x - 5/15x = 10

 4/15x = 10

for finding "x" it needs to be rearranged, so it will be as~

 x = 10×15/4

 x = 150/4

Answer:-

 x = 37.5

or

 x = 37½
