Three football are respectively filled with nitrogen, hydrogen and helium.if the leaking of the gas occurs with time from the filling hole, then the ratio of the rate of leaking of gases(rn2:rh2:rhe) from three footballs ( in equal time interval)is

1.(1:√14:√7)
2.(√14:√7:1)
3.(√7:1:√14)
4.(1:√7: √14)

Answer:

1:√14:√7.

Explanation:

Since, we know from the states of gases that the molar mass of any element is inversely proportional to the square root radius of the elements. So, here the elements radius will be in ratio inversely proportional to the square root of the molar masses.

So, r(N2):r(H2):r(He)=1/√(M(N2)):1/√(M(H2));1/√(M(He)) which on solving we will get that r(N2):r(H2):r(He) = 1/√14:1/√2:1/√4. Which on simplifying we will get 1:√14:√7.
