Let the number = x

Three fourth of the number = 3x/4

according to the problem given ,

3x/4 = 30% x + 36

3x/4 = 30x/100 + 36

3x/4 = 3x/10 + 36

3x/ 4 - 3x/10 = 36

( 15x - 6x ) / 20 = 36

9x/20 = 36

x = ( 36 × 20 ) / 9

x = 4 × 20

x = 80

Therefore ,

required number = x = 80
