three fourth of the world is covered with water which is a renewable resource but there is a problem of water scarcity because 96% of this water is saline or which is unfit for drinking or various other uses. maximum water of that 4% is either is groundwater or present as the glaciers making us unable to use directly so many countries and regions around the globe suffer from water scarcity.

71% of the earth surface is covered with water but 97.3% of its unfit for drinking only 2.7% is in the form of freshwater which is usable again 70% of the total 2.7% exists in the form of glacier and ice sheets hands only one percent is available for use this is many countries around the globe suffer from water scarcity
