Let the required number be x

then:-

 \frac{3}{4} x -  \frac{2}{3} x = 7

Multiplying both sides of equation by 12,the LCM of 4 and 3 ,we get

9x - 8x = 84 \: or \: x = 84

hence the required number is 84
