Answer:-

Given:-

Capital amount of Rita = Rs. 15000

Capital amount of Nita = Rs. 10000

Capital amount of Gita = Rs. 17,500

Loss at the end of an year = Rs. 4250

Ratio of their capitals = 15,000 : 10,000 : 17,500

⟹ Ratio of their capitals = 6 : 4 : 7

Now,

Share of each person = (ratio of that person/total sum of ratios) × Total loss

So,

★ Share of Rita = 6 * 4250 / (6 + 4 + 7)

⟹ Share of Rita = 6 * 4250/17

⟹ Share of Rita = Rs. 1500

Similarly,

★ Share of Nita = 4 * 4250/17

⟹ Share of Nita = Rs. 1000

★ Share of Gita = 7 * 4250/17

⟹ Share of Gita = Rs. 1750

Answer:

Given :-

Three friends Rita, Nita and Gita started a business of jam-jelly with capitals of ₹ 15000, ₹ 10000 and ₹ 17500 respectively. But at the end of the year loss is ₹ 4250

To Find :-

Loss of each friend

Solution :-

At first we we find the ratio

Ratio = 15,000:10,000:17,500

Ratio = 6:5:7

Now

Finding the share

Loss of Rita = 6 × 4250

Loss of Rita = 25,500

share of Rita = 25,500/(6 + 5 + 7)

share of Rita = 25,500/17

Share of Rita = 1500

For Nita

Loss of Nita = 5 × 4250

Loss of Nita = 21,250

share of Nita = 21,250/17

Share of Nita = 1000

For Gita

Share of Gita = 4250 - (1000 + 1500)

Share of Gita = 4250 - 2500

Share of Gita = 1750
