travelling in the given order and each of them save half of the remaining amount. The monthly
salary of Seeta and Geeta is same and the monthly saving of Seeta is Rs. 360 more than that
of Geeta. The total expenditures of Seeta and Reeta together on travelling is Rs. 1240 more

Step-by-step explanation:

income = exp + saving

Exp Remaing --1/2-> Sav

Seeta 12% 88% 44%

|

2% --> 360

|

Geeta 16% 84% 42%

2% - 360

x50 100% - 18000 {income}

x6 12% - 2160 {seeta exp}

x8 16% - 2880 {geeta exp}

let Reeta exp -- A

(12%+A)- 16% = 1240

A = 4% + 1240 = 720+1240 = 1960

monthly exp of (Seeta + Reeta) = 2160+1960 = 4120

Answer:

The monthly expenditure of Seeta and Reeta together on travelling is Rs. 1240.

Step-by-step explanation:

From the above question,

They have given :

The monthly expenditure of Seeta and Reeta together on travelling can be calculated by taking into account their monthly salary, monthly savings, and percentages spent on travelling.

et's assume the monthly salary of Seeta and Geeta is X.

The amount spent by Seeta on travelling is X * 12% = X * 12/100.

The amount saved by Seeta is X - X * 12/100 = X * (100 - 12)/100.

And the monthly saving of Seeta is X * (100 - 12)/100 / 2 + 360

                                  = X * (100 - 12)/200 + 360.

Similarly,

The amount spent by Geeta on travelling is X * 16% = X * 16/100.

And the monthly saving of Geeta is X * (100 - 16)/100 / 2

                                  = X * (100 - 16)/200.

Seeta and Geeta both have a monthly salary of S. Let's assume that Seeta spends x% and Reeta spends y% of their salary on travelling. Then, it can be expressed as:

                                 x + y = 12 + 14 = 26%

Seeta saves (100 - 26) / 2 = 37% of her monthly salary, while Geeta saves (100 - 16) / 2 = 42% of hers. This means that Seeta's monthly saving is Rs. 360 more than Geeta's:

                                 S * (37/100) = S * (42/100) + 360

Solving for S yields S = 4200. This means that Seeta and Geeta's monthly salary is Rs. 4200 each.

Since Seeta and Reeta spend 12% and 14% of their salary on travelling respectively, the total expenditure of Seeta and Reeta together on travelling is:

                                 12% * 4200 + 14% * 4200 = 1240

Therefore, the monthly expenditure of Seeta and Reeta together on travelling is Rs. 1240.

The total expenditures of Seeta and Reeta together on travelling is X * 12/100 + R.

And the total expenditures of Seeta and Reeta together on travelling is X * 16/100 + 1240 = X * 16/100 + X * 12/100 + R.

By equating the above two equations,

X * 16/100 + X * 12/100 + R = X * 12/100 + R

                                 X * 4/100 = X * 4/100 + 1240

                                 X = 1240 * 100/4 = 31000.

So, the monthly salary of Seeta and Geeta is Rs. 31000.

The monthly expenditure of Seeta and Reeta together on travelling is X * 12/100 + R

  = 31000 * 12/100 + 31000 * 4/14 + 360 * 100/14 = 3720 + 720 + 360

 = 5000.
