The amount X has to pay Rs.500, The amount Y has to pay Rs.600. and the amount Z has to pay Rs. 700.

Step-by-step explanation:

Given:

Three friends,  started a partnership business and invested  Rs.5000, Rs.6000 and Rs.7000 respectively for a year.

After one year they found that there is a loss of Rs.1800.

To Find: The amount  3 friends  have to pay.

Formula Used:

X and Y invested Rs. m and Rs.n respectively for a  year in a  partnership business, then at the end of the year .

(X's share of loss) : (Y's share of loss) = m : n

Solution:

As given-   A partnership business three friends started   and invested   Rs.5000, Rs.6000 and Rs.7000 respectively for a year.

Let   friend X invested = Rs.5000, friend Y invested = Rs.6000 and friend  Z invested = Rs.7000

Partnership ratio  = 5000×12 : 6000×12 : 7000 × 12

                                 = 5:6:7

As given- after one year they found that there is a loss of Rs.1800.

The amount X has to pay = 5/18 x 1800

                                        =  Rs.500

The amount Y has to pay = 6/18 x 1800

                                        =Rs. 600

The amount Z has to pay = 7/18 x 1800

                                        = Rs. 700

Thus, The amount X has to pay Rs.500, The amount Y has to pay Rs.600 and the amount Z has to pay Rs. 700.
