Three friends took turns in manning a 24 hour internet shop. The number of hours Arman, Beb, and Carl were in duty is in the ratio 1:2:3 respectively. The shop owner pays them P80 per hour. How much would Carl receive for that day?

let us take Arman's working hours as 1x

Beb's working hours as 2x

Carl's working hours as 3x

total hours they worked are 24 hours

1x+2x+3x=24

6x=24

x=24/6

x=4

Carl's working hours = 3x=3*4=12 hours

Carl's salary:

1 hour = rupees 80

12 hours = ?

(cross multiplication)

12*80/1

= rupees 960
