Given 3 horses are tethered with 7 m long ropes at three

corners of AABC

Here radius of sectors, r 7 m

Given sides of AABC are a = 20 cm, b = 42 m, c = 34 m

Thus the area of the plot that can be grazed is 77 sq m. Area of the plot that cannot be grazed = Area of AABC -

Area of plot that can be grazed (1) By Heron's formula, area of AABC

Equation (1) becomes,

Area of the plot that cannot be grazed = 336 - 77 = 259 sq m
