Three identical blocks of masses m = 2kg are drawn by a force F =10.2N with an acceleration of 0.6ms–2 on a frictionless surface, then what is the tension (in N) in the string between the blocks B and C?

Explanation:

Let Mass A be = M1

Mass B = M2

Mass C = M3

Force = 10.2 N

Tension in the rope connecting Mass B and C is

tension =  \frac{m3 \times f}{m1 + m2 + m3}

 =  \frac{2 \times 10.2}{2 + 2 + 2} =  \frac{20.4}{6}  = 3.4

Hence , the tension on string between Mass B and Mass C is 3.4 N

I hope it helps you. If you have any doubts, then don't hesitate to ask.
