Three identical bodies each of mass m, are pushed by a force F on a frictionless table. Find net force on first body and force does first apply second.

Let a be acceleration.

So total Force = 3m * a

=) a = F/3m

1) Net force on first body,

= m * a

= m * F/3m

= F/3.

2) Force applied by first body on second one,

= total mass = m+m = 2m

Force = 2m * F/3m

= 2F/3.

f = M × a

M = 3m,

f = 3m × a

f/3m = a.

So net force on first body = f/3m × m

= f/3.

Net force on second by first = 2f/3.
