E = ir + V  -------From kirchoff's law

also V = iR  

From this, 1.5 = 5 x i        i = 0.3

2 = 0.3r + 1.5

0.5 = 0.3r

r = 5/3

As the cells are in parallel combo we can use the formula for net emf

            E₁/r₁ + E₂/r₂ +E₃/r₃ .....

             1/r₁ + 1/r₂ + 1/r₃ +....

(E)net = 2(3/r) / (3/r)

          = 2              (r)eq = r/3

E = ir/3 + V

2 = (0.3) x 3 x r/3 + 1.5            

(current is multiplied by three as there is three eq arms where current splits)

we get r = 5/3

Hence internal resistance = 5/3
