Two identical resistors are first connected in parallel then in series. What will be the ratio of resultant resistance of the first combination to the second?

Well..let’s consider R and another R (obvio coz, they are identical)

R(in parallel):

1/Rp = 1/R + 1/R = 2/R

Rp=R/2

R(in series):

Rs=R+R=2R

now, Rp:Rs= R/2:2R

=1:4
