(1) Param vir chakra - Param Vir Chakra is the highest gallantry award presented by the President of India for an act of velour in the face of the enemy weather on land, at sea, or in the air. The award was established on 26 January 1950. The first Param Vir Chakra was awarded posthumously two major Somnath Sharma in 1947.
(2) Maha vir chakra - Mahavir Chakra is the second highest gallantry award it is awarded for the act of conspicuous gallantry in the presence of the enemy weather on land, at sea, or in the air the award was established on 26 January 1950.
(3) Vir chakra - Vir Chakra is an Indian gallantry award presented for acts of bravery in the battlefield. it was established by the President of India on 26 January 1950.
