Indian constitution is a written document with elaborated features of Fundamental rights and duties with directive principle of state polictly.

For answering this question first we need to know what makes indian constitution limitless and if in there we find any restriction than definitely it would be the limitation of constitution.

To be more precise, according to me, Art 368 of constitution that gives power to parliament to amend it makes Indian constitution not to be limited to where constituent assembly left it.

with passage of time and situation it can mould into any adaptable figure.

Now what makes it limited is

special provision that cant be amended that is Art 370 (special status to J&K).

Doctrine of basic structure given by supreme court in keshavananda Bharti case giving amendable power to parliament to amend any part of constitution provided that it doesnt breache the basic structure.

So, I found these as basic limitation to document.

Other than this if we compare Indian constitution with other state’s constitution than also we can find limitation like. . .

1. Having most of the provisions written in constitution, gives lesser flexibility and scope of experimenting the structure unlike british constitution.

2. It gives democratic form of government with majority holder in parliament having chance to form government but having such a huge diversity in country the best way would have been the proportional representation like spain, hungary, denmark, greece etc are having.

3.Being written by lawyers makes it less understandable to common man unlike vatican city and USA have. critics calls it lawyer’s heaven.

4. many of its provisions still need supreme court’s interpretation.

5. wide range of fundamental rights but with restrictions.

and so on . . .

No constitution in this era is flawless. so, what we should focus on is admiring the hefty task our constituent assembly completed and fetching as good from it as possible .

hopefully it was helpful.
