three liquids are given to you. one is hydrochloric acid, another is sodium hydroxide and the third is a sugar solution how will you identify them you have only turmeric indicator​

Turmeric is a natural indicator.

It turns red in base and yellow in acids.

HCl is a strong acid with pH around 2 and thus the turmeric will indicate yellow colour.

Whereas, NaOH is a strong base and will show red colour.

Sugar solution is neutral and thus no colour change.
