Most important task was to unify India again.As you would have heard Vallabhbhai Patel performed his heart out to unify India again by joining 552 princely states to India while 2 merged with Pakistan.Thats why he is known as Iron Man of India.Other important tasks were to form Constitution of India ASAP, bringing INDIA back to track after being unstabilized for so many years.New Policies were formed for Education, Health and Poverty sectorasAt that time India's literacy rate was lower than 20%.Much changed after INDIA's Independence and it was well administrated to give the good platform to work for next governments.
