Given Reaction:-

HNO_3+ Ca(OH)_2 → Ca(NO_3)_2 + H_2O

Balanced reaction :-

4HNO_3+ 2Ca(OH)_2 → 2Ca(NO_3)_2 + 4H_2O

Balanced reaction:- The reaction in which the total number of atoms in L.H.S or reactant is equal to R. H. S.or product side.

Step to balance the reaction :-

  • First count the each atoms of each elements.

  • Try to balance with elements having less number of atoms balance oxygen and hydrogen in last.

  • If need multiply with suitable coefficients.

Note :- Reaction should be balanced so that they can follow law of conservation of mass.
