Three measuring tapes are 64cm 72cm and 96cm what is the least length that can be measured by any of the tapes exactly?

Required no = HCF ( 64 , 72 , 96).
Do prime factorisation of three no.

64 = 2^6
72 = 2^3 × 3^ 2.
96 = 2^5 × 3.

thus HCF will be = 2^3 = 8.
