Three men go to lunch at a restaurant. The total comes to
300, so each man pays 100. The manager realises the bill
should only be of 250, so he asks the waiter to return 50 to
the men. Each man takes back * 10, and they tell the waiter to
keep the remaining 20 as a tip. Each man now has 10 back
in his pocket, meaning they each paid 90 for the meal. That
comes to a total of 270. The waiter has 20 as tip. If the men
originally handed over 300, what happened to the missing
10? One of the men tells that the waiter has taken the missing
amount. Is he telling the truth?

Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

the bill was 250rs

the tip was 20rs

each person got 10rs each which will be 3 * 10 = 30

so it will be..... 250 + 20 + 30 = RS. 300

and the 270rs paid while Rs 90 each included the tip and the total bill for the food as well

Answer: No, he is not telling the truth

Step-by-step explanation:

3 men paid 300. So, each man paid 100 initially

Manager asks waiter to return 50...so, 300 - 50 = 250

Each man takes back 10 each = 3 x 10 = 30

Men have 280 now & they gave 20 to waiter as a tip

So, total 280 + 20 = 300 (proved)

.

'Each man now has 10 back in his pocket, meaning they each paid 90 for the meal. That comes to a total of 270.' -  this sentence is unmatched with above data.

They paid for meal not individually....so, total of 270 is wrong here
