SOLUTION....

Thickness of 1st book= 1/2 cm

Thickness of 2nd book=3/4 cm

Thickness of 3rd book=5/8 cm

Total thickness= 1/2 + 3/4 + 5/8

Converting into

like fraction = 1/2 + 3/4 + 5/8

LCM of 2,4,8= 8

1/2×4/4 = 4/8

3/4×2/2 = 6/8

5/8×1/1 = 5/8

= 4/8 + 6/8 + 5/8

= 4+6+5/8

= 15/8

ANSWER= 15/8 cm
