Let the numbers be x, 2x and 3x.

As the HCF is the highest factor common in all the three, so the common number in x, 2x and 3x is x.

Therefore, x = 6.

=> 2x = 12

=> 3x = 18

So the numbers are 6, 12, 18.

Hope this helps .

Let the numbers be x, 2x and 3x.

The HCF in x, 2x and 3x is x because 1, 2, 3 are prime.

Hence,

x = 6; then the other numbers are

2x = 2 x 6 = 12

3x = 3 x 6 = 18
