Let the meet of ratio be x.

Hence three numbers are 2x, 3x and 5x.

According to question ;

=) (2x)^2 + (3x)^2 + (5x)^2 = 608

=) 4x^2 + 9x^2 + 25x^2 = 608

=) 38x^2 = 608

=) x^2 = 608/38

=) x^2 = 16

=) x = 4

Hence numbers are 2*4, 3*4 and 5*4

= 8,12 and 20.

Thanks!!

GIVEN

Three Numbers are in ratio of 2:3:5

The sum of their squares is 608

TO FIND

Those Numbers

SOLUTION

Let the numbers be 2x, 3x and 5x

According to the question,

(2x)^2 + (3x)^2 + (5x)^2 = 608

=> 4x^2 + 9x^2 + 25x^2 = 608

=> 38x^2 = 608

=> x^2 = 608/38

=> x^2 = 16

=> x = 4

If x = 4 , the numbers are

2x = 8

3x = 12

5x = 20

Hence the numbers are 8,12 and 20 (Ans)
