Given,

  • Three numbers are in the ratio 3 : 4 : 5.
  • The sum of the largest and the smallest equals the sum of the second and 62.

To Find,

  • The Smallest Number.

Solution,

Let's,

The First Number = 3X

So,

The Second Number = 4X

So,

The Third Number = 5X

5X is largest number.

4X is second number.

3X is smallest number.

As Given,

→ Largest No. + Smallest No. = Second No. + 62

5X + 3X = 4X + 62

→ 8X = 4X + 62

→ 8X - 4X = 62

→ 4X = 62

→ X = 62/4

X = 15.5

Required Answer,
