Let the common multiple be x
then the three numbers are ;
3x,7x,9x
If 5 is subtracted from second number then the
three numbers will be in A.P
3x,(7x-5),9x ----- are in A.P
let the common difference of the A.P be d
d = (7x-5)-3x = 9x-(7x-5)
2(7x-5) = 12x
7x-5 = 6x
x = 5
Hence the original numbers are ;
3x,7x,9x
= 15,35,45
