Answer :-

The numbers are,

  • 28
  • 32
  • 36

Step-by-step explanation :-

To Find,

  • The numbers

Solution,

Given that,

  • The three numbers are in the ratio of 7 : 8 : 9
  • The sum of all numbers = 96

Let us assume the numbers as 7x, 8x and 9x,

Therefore,

➮ 7x + 8x + 9x = 96

➮ 15x + 9x = 96

➮ 24x = 96

➮ x = 96 / 24

➮ x = 4 ★

Hence, the value of x is 4.

The numbers are,

The number which we assumed as 7x

➮ 7x

➮ 7 × 4

➮ 28 ★

The number which we assumed as 8x

➮ 8x

➮ 8 × 4

➮ 32 ★

The number which we assumed as 9x

➮ 9x

➮ 9 × 4

➮ 36 ★

Hence, the numbers are 28, 32 and 36.

Now, Verification

➮ 28 + 32 + 36 = 96

➮ 60 + 36 = 96

➮ 96 = 96

L.H.S = R.H.S

Hence, Verified !
