Answer :-

  • The numbers are 44, 55 and 66.

To find :-

  • The numbers.

Solution :-

  • It is given that three numbers are in the ratio 4 : 5 : 6.

Let :-

  • The numbers be 4x, 5x and 6x.

Here,

  • The largest number is 6x, the smallest number is 4x and the third number is 5x.

It is given that :-

  • The sum of the largest and the smallest numbers is equal to the sum of the third number and 55.

Therefore,

  \dashrightarrow\sf6x + 4x = 5x + 55

  \sf\dashrightarrow 10x = 5x + 55

 \sf \dashrightarrow 10x - 5x = 55

 \sf \dashrightarrow 5x = 55

 \sf \dashrightarrow x =   \cancel{\dfrac{55}{5} }

  \sf\dashrightarrow x = 11

-----------------------------------------------------------

Hence, the numbers are :-

 \bf4x = 4 \times 11 = 44.

 \bf5x = 5 \times 11 = 55.

 \bf6x = 6 \times 11 = 66.
