Three of your friends are pulling a object placed
on ground with forces shown in diagram. When
they are unable to pull the object, they call you for
help. Instead of pulling the object directly, you
start calculating the minimum net force required
to move the object. (May be you are intelligent,
may be you are lazy). You find that minimum net
force required in any direction should be 60 N.
The minimum force (in newton) you should apply
to move the object is. (Assume that your friends
are still applying force in the earlier directions).

Resultant of force applied by three friend

is 22.022 N. To move object force required

is 60N so force applied by you is

= 60 – 22.022 = 37.977 » 38 W

38N is minmum force need to applied to move  object

Explanation:

There are three forces

20N

in x direction  = 0     & in  y direction = 20 N

10N

in x direction  = 10Cos37° = 8N     & in  y direction = 10Sin37° = 6 N

15N

in x direction  = 15Cos53° = 9N     & in  y direction = -15Sin53° = -12 N

Net Force in x direction =  0 + 8 + 9  = 17N

Net force in y Direction = 20 + 6 - 12   =  14N

Resultant Force = √17² + 14² = 22N

minimum net force required in any direction should be 60 N.

The minimum force (in newton) you should apply to move the object =60 - 22  = 38N

38N is minimum force need to applied to move  object
